It shows how environmental factors may be utilized, controlled, and modified as an integral part of architectural design. Specific topics include: climate and weather; psychrometrics; solar radiation; wind patterns; heat gains and losses; systems for heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning; requirements for energy conservation; plumbing and drainage systems; fire safety and fire fighting systems. |
