| Description |
This seminar combines an intensive workshop on descriptive geometry with a survey of recent theory on architectural representation. Students will consider contemporary modes of representation through the lens of a semester-long project employing hand-drawing techniques of orthographic and perspectival projection. Techniques will include boolean intersections, sciagraphy and rabattement. Sample reading list: Stan Allen, Yve-Alain Bois, Jonathan Crary, Peter Eisenman, Robin Evans. This course is limited to 15 students with permission from the instructor. |
