A. Melissa Harris teaches courses in design and drawing. Harris earned her M.Arch from the University of California at Berkley. She has been teaching at the University of Michigan since 1990, and in this time has published many articles and architectural drawings including "The Influence of Social Dynamics on Built Form: Design Studio Investigations" and "Tragic Choices Between Fine Art and Architectural Drawing." Much of her works explores the parallels between architecture and art. In 1999, Harris was recognized for her work at the university as a C.I.C. Academic Leadership Fellow.
