[ UG 1 ]

March 22-29, A&A Building, Third Floor Review Spaces

After the desk crits, pin-ups, and reviews, after all the talking, all that remains of design efforts in school are the drawings (or some type of representation). While there are no “real” results (i.e., no buildings built), successful studio projects in the form of their expression reveal the effort, intelligence, and possibilities entailed within their conception.

“SHOW...don’t tell. Architecture Awards Exhibition 2023-24” celebrates the product of design studios as indexical artifacts of intention, and includes the work of students in studios throughout the Architecture Program at Taubman College, including Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master of Architecture, Master of Urban Design, Master of Science in Architecture Digital and Material Technologies, as well as the Bachelor of Science in Urban Technology.

The jury-selected projects from each degree program studio will receive a recognition of excellence through a monetary award. Jurors for the 2023-24 Architecture Student Awards are all former Taubman College Architecture Program fellowship recipients, including Di Peter Yi, University of Cincinnati (2018-2019 Walter B. Sanders Research Fellow), Brittany Utting, Rice University (2017-2018 William A. Oberdick Research Fellow), and James Michael Tate, Texas A&M University (2014–2015 Willard A. Oberdick Research Fellow).

The prize winners will be announced in an awards luncheon on Friday,
March 29, 2024.
