Expanded Horizons is coming to Chicago in September! This award-winning class is a wonderful tradition you may remember from your student days. This one-credit offering is actually an intensive on-site field study conducted (and organized) each fall by graduate students in urban planning. A city or urban region is selected, and planning students travel there for an extended weekend to meet with various city and regional planning professionals as well as neighborhood associations, urban designers, and urban designers, and architects. In addition, students tour major urban development sites and programs.
As part of the Expanded Horizons this year, the student planning committee is hosting a networking event in partnership with the American Planning Association (APA) and the APA-IL Young Planners Group. Please join us to network with other professional planners—alumni and non-alumni, emerging, established, and prospective!
