Alumni Lunch & Learn: Tyson Curcio (M.Arch. '98), “Agile”

Being agile embodies the ability to react to unpredictability — to decide, commit, and do something, even in the absence of complete information that would tell us that what we are doing is correct in all cases. The agility to adapt to change and act with incomplete information is fundamental to what it means to be designers, and architects.

As the Chief Operating Officer Tyson is responsible for business operations and project delivery success thru oversight for firm wide practice management.   Strong client service through efficient design, innovative project delivery, and technical excellence, is a fundamental belief at the core of his philosophy.  As COO Tyson leads the development and execution of the firm’s business plan and promotes leading edge project delivery methods to advance the firms strategic objectives.

In addition Tyson provides leadership for the firms Operations Directors, Project Delivery Council, Technical Design Community, Project Management Community, Digital Practice Community and collaborates with closely Research on the interconnected relationships. 

Tyson will share perspectives on the industry and his career advancement to the executive leadership of Perkins+Will, one the largest architectural design firms in the nation.
