Maya 1: Introduction to modeling
Instructor: Jeff Halstead
THERE WILL BE 22 COMPUTERS AVAILABLE TO USE WITH SEATING FOR 40; PLEASE BRING A LAPTOP WITH MAYA TO ASSURE PARTICIPATION. MAYA IS AVAILABLE FROM students.autodesk.com
This workshop will begin with an introduction to Maya’s Interface, navigation and basic polygon modeling techniques. Students will initially work with a base of polygon primitives such as spheres, cones and cubes in order to perform an array of operations that are inherent to Maya’s structure. At the end of the workshop, the students will have created a 3D model that embodies complex geometrical characteristics.
