Grasshopper 3: Instantiation Based Algorithms

THERE WILL BE 22 COMPUTERS AVAILABLE TO USE WITH SEATING FOR 40; IF POSSIBLE, PLEASE BRING A LAPTOP WITH RHINO AND GRASSHOPPER TO ASSURE PARTICIPATION
Students who wish to participate in this workshop will have to have completed the Grasshopper 1 and 2 workshops, or have relevant prior experience to be evaluated by the instructor. In this workshop, students will become familiar with instantiation in computer programming. The first part of the workshop will cover topics such as inputting geometry, re-parameterizing geometry, constructing data trees from input objects parameters, and subdivision of primitive geometry. Students will then learn various instantiation methods, object based, family based, and custom based. The workshop will conclude with a demonstration of other workflows that will teach them how to generate object ID drawings, geometry information drawings, and import-export systems.
