The students are at the center of all the work that faculty and staff do here at Taubman College. We aim for the college to be a framework for your intellectual, professional, and personal development as well as a platform for your success in career and in life.
To better understand your experiences and perspectives, Dean Massey has partnered with some of the student organization leaders to plan a college-wide Town Hall meeting at which we can talk, share perspectives on what is working well or poorly here, and identify topics of common concern or projects on which to collaborate in making our college the best possible educational environment.
Ibiayi Briggs (NOMAS), Hannah Cane (ARC), Sarah Carter (ARC) Leah Hong (IID), Mitchell Lawrence (IID), Rob Pfaff (P+ARG), and Peter Swinton (UPSA) have joined Dean Massey and the new director of student affairs, Reetha Raveendran, to craft an agenda for the gathering, which will include the following topics:
- Health, wellness, and workload
- Sexual harassment and misconduct
- Relating student and professional roles to politics and worldly events
We will be sure to open conversation on these three topics, but also want to know whatever else is on your mind. And I will kick things off with a brief update on a couple of initiatives underway at the college. Please join us on the 14th!
