Ana Morcillo Pallarés is an Assistant Professor in architecture at Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning, where she was the 2014-2015 Walter B. Sanders Fellow. She received her Ph.D. in architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Madrid and her professional degree in architecture from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Valencia. Her work explores the evolution and revitalization of public space through theoretical debate between citizen demands and municipal regulations in understanding the social, economic, architectural and urban conditions of the collective. Ana is co-founder and partner of Morcillo Pallarés + Rule Arquitectos since 2005. Her practice addresses conditions and opportunities in the public dimension of the contemporary city. Morcillo Pallarés + Rule design proposals have been selected in competitions and exhibited in Spain and abroad.
