Jeff Halstead is a Lecturer at the Taubman College of Architecture + Urban Planning, where his teaching focus is in areas of design and representation. Previously working as a project designer at Gehry Partners LLP, Jeff was involved in the design and documentation of a series of projects including a 22 000 sq ft house, a beach house in Venice, CA, the Grand Avenue mixed use complex, a hotel in Santa Monica and the Facebook Master Plan in Palo Alto. Jeff received his M.Arch from The Southern California Institute of Architecture where he graduated with distinction, received the Alpha Rho Chi Medal and was awarded the annual SCI-Arc Gehry prize for best thesis. He had previously worked for Hernan Diaz Alonso at his practice Xefirotarch in LA and was a Graduate Studio and Seminar Teaching Assistant at SCI-Arc. Jeff’s work has been internationally published in print and online in Architect Magazine, B-1 Magazine, ANC – Architecture and Culture and Designboom.
