Laura-Anne Wong

Laura-Anne Wong is the Research and Creative Practice Program Manager for the College, where she supports all sponsored faculty projects. She is also a Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Design, teaching both graduate and undergraduate level design studios.

Wong previously worked as an Architectural and Urban Designer at PORT Urbanism, a design consultancy based in Chicago and Philadelphia, where she worked on the design and administration of multiple public realm projects that involved several community groups and stakeholders. Prior to that, she also worked on various large-scale projects at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and Benoy in London, DP Architects in Singapore, and Snøhetta in San Francisco.

As Research and Creative Practice Program Manager, she works with Geoffrey Thün to support and expand the College’s research and creative practice, both in the Architecture and Urban Planning departments. In this role, she seeks to identify new research opportunities, enable research collaborations, and facilitate partnerships within U-M, as well as with external partners and organizations.

Wong holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Architecture from the University of Sheffield, and a Master of Architecture (with High Distinction) from the University of Michigan.
