Rob Cory is Director of Global Real Estate Services for Ford Land, the real estate arm and wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. After seven years leading Ford Land’s commercial sales and leasing team, Cory now provides real estate services for Ford Motor Company’s extensive global real estate portfolio. The portfolio includes manufacturing plants, warehouses, office space, labs, and dealerships. Working with Ford’s global business units to support expansion and contraction of owned and leased space, his team negotiates the acquisition and/or disposition of properties.
Previously, Cory spend several years in Ford Motor Company Treasury where he worked with the global investment banking community to obtain securitized funding for corporate assets. He began his career at Ford in 1999 as a financial analyst at Ford Land responsible for real estate portfolio valuation and financial management supporting development, acquisitions and sales.
Cory has taught real estate finance at the University of Michigan for seven years and is certified by the State of Michigan to teach real estate broker continuing education classes. Cory was a member of the University of Michigan and Urban Land Institute Real Estate Forum Steering Committee for 10 years. In December 2012, Cory was named to Midwest Real Estate News Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. He has an MBA from the University of Michigan and a bachelor's degree in engineering from GMI Engineering & Management Institute.
