LiveGreen 2009 Sustainable Housing Design Competition

University of Michigan’s LiveGreen 2009 Sustainable Housing Design Competition is calling for students in groups of at least three people from different schools and colleges (i.e. College of Engineering, Business School, and School of Information) to put together a design plan for a completely off-the-grid house.

The incentives?

  • $10,000 in cash prizes
  • Top six winning teams will have their designs displayed at the Greening the Heartland event at Cobo in May
  • The winning team will have a paid opportunity to have their house built and displayed across the nation
  • Have the opportunity to present in front to professionals in green architecture, construction, and management
  • Help make the University of Michigan a leader in sustainable design
  • Learn more about the process in sustainable design
