Urban and Regional Planning Faculty Positions Available

The college seeks to make appointments in the following areas:

Physical Planning, Urban Design, and Visualization
The Urban + Regional Planning Program intends to make a faculty appointment to begin in academic year 2009/2010 in physical planning, urban design, and visualization in the urban development context. Candidates with design practice experience and professional accreditation are particularly encouraged to apply for this position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a minimum of one graduate studio course per year. Interested applicants must apply by April 30, 2009.

Real Estate Development
The Urban + Regional Planning Program intends to make a faculty appointment to begin in academic year 2009/2010 in real estate development. For this position, we seek applicants to teach and conduct research in real estate analysis and development and to provide leadership for the University of Michigan Real Estate Program. Interested applicants must apply by February 16, 2009.

Each of these positions may be filled at junior or senior levels in either the tenure track or the professionally based Professor of Practice track, depending on applicants’ qualifications and backgrounds. An ability to contribute to two or more urban and regional planning concentrations is desirable. Similarly, the capacity to contribute to multiple programs across Taubman College is an advantage.
