Levine to Deliver Melvin Webber Lecture at UCLA

Jonathan Levine, Professor of Urban and Regional Planning, will deliver the 2013 Melvin Webber Lecture as part of the 19th Annual University of California Transportation Research Conference at UCLA on Friday, March 1st at noon. Levine’s invitation comes in recognition of his contributions to transportation policy and planning over the past quarter century.

This lecture is named in honor of Mel Webber, the longtime Professor of City & Regional Planning at UC Berkeley and intellectual pioneer in the study of cities and travel in them. Past Melvin Webber Lecturers include, most notably, Alan Altshuler of Harvard, Susan Hanson of Clark, and Daniel McFadden of Berkeley.

The lecture is attended by transportation faculty and students from all reaches of California, scholars from related fields and disciplines, and transportation and planning practitioners and officials from outside the university.
