Associate Professor Steven Mankouche and Lecturer Jono Sturt (M.Arch.’11) with artist Abigail Murray win Boston Society of Architecture 2013 Un-built Architecture Award.

Mankouche and Sturt win Un-built Architecture Award

Their project, AFTERHOUSE transforms the foundations of a burned down Detroit house into solar greenhouse, memorializing the home that once stood there. AFTERHOUSE, was generously supported by Taubman College, the University of Michigan’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) program and two U.S. Economic Development Administration and Michigan State University Regional Economic Initiative grants and included Taubman College student leaders Travis Williams and Edward Sachs both class of 2015.
