Possible Mediums exhibition comes to Taubman College in January

Possible Mediums, a travelling exhibition showcasing a series of design investigations based in speculative architectural mediums, will be on display January 17 – February 24 at the Taubman College Liberty Gallery.

Possible Mediums is driven by a group of emerging designers who challenge the boundaries of architectural convention through exploratory processes rooted in mediums external to the discipline (such as film or comics) or developed from atypical applications of more conventional mediums (such as drawings or models). Their collective work, both in design and discourse, demonstrates the profound potential of an expansion and diversification of architectural mediums as format, as material, and as a means of projection.

Designers include Taubman College Assistant Professors of Architecture Ellie Abrons, Adam Fure, and Andrew Holder. Other designers involved are Andrew Atwood, Kelly Bair, Kristy Balliet, Brennan Buck/David Freeland, Angela Co, Justin Diles, Nataly Gattegno/Jason Kelly Johnson, Mariana Ibañez/Simon Kim, Thomas Kelley, Jimenez Lai, Michael Loverich/Antonio Torres, Kyle Miller, and Michael Young).
