Herscher wins 2014 University of Michigan Press Book Award

Associate professor, Andrew Herscher, has been awarded the University of Michigan Press Book Award. The prestigious commendation is conferred upon U-M teaching and research staff whose work has added the greatest distinction to the Press List within the last two years. Herscher, winner of the $1500 prize, was singled out for his 2012 work, The Unreal Estate Guide to Detroit, a unique look at what happens when Detroit’s urban space falls out of the market economy and becomes available to other systems of value. Visit the University Record for more information on his achievement.
