Thenhaus to open exhibition at Ball State University

Three Part Projects, the upcoming exhibition from Lecturer Clark Thenhaus, will open at Ball State University on February 16, 2015 with a gallery talk and student meeting. The exhibition elaborates on his work as a Willard A. Oberdick Fellow from last March and showcases a variety of new models and drawings.

According to Thenhaus, “The exhibition includes three architectural proposals of a belvedere, wishing well, and bell tower developed through a triptych of form, drawing translations, and context. Drawings, innovatively crafted using ink, wax, dye, salt, and water, are material compositions used for translations into proposed landscapes of berms, labyrinths, and bumps, all in the context of post-military landscapes of the unsuspecting American pastoral and urban periphery.” Thenhaus’ team consists of Katie Donahue, Nate Oppenheim (M.Arch.’14), Ryan Doidge (M.Arch.’15), Tyler Smith (M.Arch.’15), Danielle Tellez (M.Arch.’15), Alexandra Bernetich (M.Arch.’15), and Samantha Okolita (M.Arch.’17). Three Part Projects was generously supported by both the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning and Ball State University.
