Taubman College Ahlquist Co-authors Chapter of Newly Released Book
Assistant Professor Sean Ahlquist has been published in the newly released book, “The Routledge Companion for Architecture Design and Practice.” Ahlquist co-authored a chapter in this collaborative works alongside Achim Menges. The chapter, titled Materiality & Computational Design: Emerging Material Systems & the Role of Design Computation and Digital Fabrication, examines the evolving theoretical tenets of the architecture discipline and the tools that will be required of the future architect. The book in its entirety considers architecture’s interdisciplinary nature and addresses its current and evolving perspectives related to social, economic, environmental, technological, and globalization trends.
