Taubman College Trandafirescu Named Director of Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Taubman College
Associate Professor Anca Trandafirescu has been named the director of the Bachelor of Science in Architecture program at Taubman College. Trandafirescu has been teaching in the undergraduate program for over a decade, and in her new role will she be working closely with the faculty of the program to make sure the curriculum aligns with the rigors of the field, as well as helping track the progress of the students at Taubman College and those interested in transferring to the program.
Anca joined Taubman as the 2005-2006 Muschenheim Fellow and is a partner, with associate professor Glenn Wilcox, in the practice area.architecture, which explores a breadth of design issues through speculative activities, competitions, commissioned projects, and design/build work with subject particularly focused on the combination of interests in public access and digital fabrication. She has a B.Arch. from Temple University and an M.Arch. the Bartlett, University College London. Trandafirescu is a licensed architect in NY.
