McGee’s Matter Design Featured in Domus Innovation Issue

Assistant professor Wes McGee’s work with co-founder of Matter Design, Brandon Clifford, was featured in the Innovation Issue of Domus. This special issue, edited by Carlo Ratti, came out in print with the March, 2017 edition of Domus and explores architectural innovation today.

The article written by Brandon Clifford, “The Rendering of Rhetorical Matter / La Resa Di Una Materialità Retorica,” features several projects by Matter Design including La Voûte de LeFevre and Helix and begins by stating; “Hybridising ancient techniques and digital processes is the modus operandi at the American practice Matter Design, where Brandon Clifford and Wes McGee work on experimental projects that are part design, part architecture. Materials are key, and the results elicit perceptual and ontological surprise.”
