Taubman College Designed Michigan Solar (MiSo) House Finds New Permanent Home

The Michigan Solar (MiSo) House, a 100% solar-powered home designed by Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning students and faculty, was recently purchased by a North Michigan couple. The house was built in 2005 for the Solar Decathlon in Washington D.C., and has spent the last 10 years at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. The 660 sq. ft. home features a combination of various solar-energy systems as well as furnishings designed through low-chemical processes in order the reduce the home’s carbon footprint.
