Co-founded Sauerbruch Hutton in 1989 with Louisa Hutton in Berlin.
Sauerbruch Hutton realize tailor-made solutions in the fields of architecture, urban design, and interior design. An enjoyment of the sensuality of space is combined with a pragmatic approach to construction and technology. Each building or project exhibits an integrated planning approach which unites function, a high standard of design and ecological sustainability.
Built works to date range from office and commercial buildings, laboratories and production halls, to housing, restoration, and conservation projects, as well as to projects in the field of urban design.
Sauerbruch Hutton offers experience in the design and implementation of low energy concepts in building. Integrated solutions for structure, natural and artificial ventilation, heating, lighting, data networks, etc are formulated together with engineers and other consultants right from the beginning of the design process. For its realized projects Sauerbruch Hutton has been awarded several national and international prizes.
