PARG Casual Colloquium
November 14, 2008 04:30 PM
Art + Architecture Building
The casual colloquium is a chance for a few architecture and planning doctoral students to make informal presentations relating to their research, leading to questions, comments, and general discussion. All are welcome to attend. The event creates a bit more unity and communication within TCAUP's doctoral sphere, as we interact and learn about what others are doing.
Generally three or four students give presentations on topics of interest to them; this may be current research, a potential dissertation subject, an ongoing dissertation, a recent project, etc. Each presentation is about 15-20 minutes in length with an additional 15-20 minutes for questions and comments. It is a relaxed, sociable, and informal atmosphere, and people are free to come late or leave early. There will be munchies and beverages.
