Gordon Carrier, FAIA, Design Principal of Carrier Johnson + CULTURE will talk with students about his career path, the surprises he encountered along the way, and lessons learned in founding and building a firm. Gordon is a Michigan alum – B.S.Arch ‘79, M.Arch ’81.
He is a founding member and Design Principal of the San Diego-based architecture firm, Carrier Johnson + CULTURE. Under his direction, the firm has established an impressive track record of award-winning projects in both the public and private market sectors.
Gordon has been instrumental in San Diego’s transformation into a nationally recognized urban center, advising mayors, city planners and redevelopment agencies. As a designer with a vision for cities, Mr. Carrier explores the relationship between structures and public space, weaving building innovation into urban environments.
