Taubman College Alumni Carol Kartje, Vice President, and Camilla Moretti from the Detroit office of HKS will speak about the firm’s work as well as their 2010 Design Fellowship.
Among HKS' work is the Blue Man Group Theatre at the Venetian in Las Vegas, the Connecticut Children’s Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, Danat al Emarat Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE, Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
2010 Design Fellowship
An intense, full-day charrette on Friday March 5 where students and young professionals come together with civic leaders and academic professors to solve challenges and shape communities through design. This year, the focus is an exploration of memory and decay in architecture, at the scar left by the demolition of the original Tiger Stadium. The HKS Design Fellowship will be awarded to up to 4 architectural or interior design students enrolled in local universities. Students must be nominated by a professor.
