About Michigan Historic Preservation Network:
MHPN is Michigan’s statewide historic preservation organization, offering advocacy and resources for preservationists from all backgrounds. Founded in 1981 to foster the preservation and protection of Michigan's rich cultural and architectural heritage, MHPN was the driving force behind Michigan’s 1999 passage of the 25% tax credit for restoration of historic structures and, more recently, played a major advocacy role in the January 2009 passage of legislation that enhances the existing federal and state historic preservation tax credits in Michigan.
