Last day - Architecture of Objects: Design Studio Exhibit
West Review Space
Art + Architecture Building
The Architecture of Objects is a Design Studio open to graduating seniors and graduate students enrolled at the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Work from the class has been featured in Interiors and Metropolis magazines and has been exhibited for a number of years at NEOCON in Chicago.
The studio is taught by Professor Shaun Jackson, and concerns itself with the design and construction of every day objects including lighting, furniture and tabletop objects. A strong emphasis is placed on the relationships between the materials used in the designs and the details employed in bringing those materials together to create functional objects. Several specific manufacturing processes will be explored.
