The GLOW Workshop: Radiate Exhibit in Flint

Gallery Opening / Pairing with Flint Art Walk, hosted by the Great Flint Art Council
04/08/11
Scrxipt Gallery
625 S. Saginaw Street
Flint, MI

As an architectural maneuver, the purposeful manipulation of embedded light and the resultant side effects of GLOW is the nearly intangible and eerie synthesis of matter and energy, a quality capable of defining the extents, tone, and experience of a space. GLOW Workshop investigates this ability for light and matter to create, alter, and obscure space through a keen eye towards illumination and darkness, and the process of making.

Through experimental fabrications that key into the entirety of the space, the function and contribution of the source, the trials of the lights, and the efforts of the darkness, the work of the GLOW Workshop is harnessed in full scale, site-specific installations in the old Flint Medical and Surgical Supply store: Scrxipt Gallery.
