Term Winter 2017
Class ARCH 506

Description This course uses narrative film as the basis for analyzing architecture and urbanism. Each week a film is screened from an international filmography that includes works by directors such as Alfred Hitchcock, F.W. Murnau, Charles Dassin, Fritz Lang, Gillo Pontecorvo, Wim Wenders and Wayne Wang. Following their screenings the films are discussed based on analytical exercises given at the start if class meetings.
