Academic Advising

Urban and Regional Planning:

Master of Urban & Regional Planning

Rackham Graduate School works in partnership with faculty and staff in departments and schools across the University to facilitate the academic success of all graduate students. They offer a continuum of services that supports students' academic achievement from early recruitment stages through final placement.

The Urban and Regional Planning program initially assigns each student an advisor. Students are matched with faculty based on areas of interest.  Wolverine Access enables you to view your assigned Academic Advisor.  Click on the “Student Center Link”. Students are welcome to change advisors at any time.   

An academic advisor is available to meet with all current urban planning students regarding their academic progress, understanding degree requirements, if they are experiencing academic difficulty, need motivation, or just have questions or concerns. Current Taubman College students should email taubmancollegeadvising@umich.edu with available days and times. Meetings are typically scheduled Monday – Friday between 9 am – 4 pm in 30 minute slots.

Ph.D. in Urban & Regional Planning

Ph.D. in Urban Planning students are assigned advisors based on their area of interest. Questions should be directed to your individual faculty advisor.  

Real Estate and Development Certificate

An academic advisor is available to meet with all current Real Estate and Development Certificate students regarding their academic progress, understanding degree requirements, if they are experiencing academic difficulty, need motivation, or just have questions or concerns. Current Taubman College students should email taubmancollegeadvising@umich.edu with available days and times. Meetings are typically scheduled Monday – Friday between 9 am – 4 pm in 30 minute slots.
