Heather is an architect with nearly 25 years of experience focused in the planning, programming and design of science teaching and research facilities for higher education clients.  She is deeply engaged in service and leadership roles at local, regional and national levels.  She played a key role in planning and execution of the inaugural AIA’s Women’s Leadership Summit in 2009 and has been a part of the advisory committee and a presenter at the subsequent biennial summits. She has also served on several AIA Design Juries and has been a member of the AIA Member Services Resource Task Force which has played a key role in the AIA’s repositioning.

Heather stands out for her ability to approach projects with strategic vision and creative solutions, to listen keenly and understand the broader nuances of her client’s needs, to manage with an inclusive, collaborative, style and to nurture and maintain a broad network of professional contacts.

She earned her Bachelor of Architecture Degree (Summa Cum Laude) from North Carolina State University in 1994, a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 1990 and completed University of Florida’s Preservation Institute:Nantucket program in 1988.
