“Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”

Mr. Woodrow received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1970 with a major in Psychology.  Later, he returned to Michigan and earned a Masters degree in Urban Planning in 1976.  He began his planning career in 1976 with Johnson, Johnson & Roy, a planning, landscape architecture and urban design firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  After working for five years with municipalities to develop master plans and downtown revitalization plans, he opened the firm’s first satellite office in Chicago in 1981.

Mr. Woodrow subsequently joined LaSalle Partners, Inc., a global real estate services firm headquartered in Chicago, in 1982. He initially worked with Fortune 500 firms and government pension plans in the U.S. to achieve optimal investment returns on the real estate portion of their pension portfolios that were established by LaSalle. Later, from 1990-2004, Mr. Woodrow played a lead role in the expansion of LaSalle’s investment management business across North America, Western Europe and Asia.

In 2005 Mr. Woodrow became the Global Chief Operating Officer for LaSalle. He was responsible for managing all operations for 26 offices worldwide that accommodated over 750 employees. His scope of responsibility included strategic planning, organizational strategy, finance, HR, IT, risk management, legal, tax, and facilities management.  After working with LaSalle for 33 years, Mr. Woodrow retired in 2015.
