DESCRIPTION:The Collectives studio presents Rutger Huiberts from MVRDV’s New York office\, who will share ideas on the firm’s key recurring themes about housing and the collective. Housing has played a key role since MVRDV was founded in 1991\, with projects that respect the human scale\, and are flexible\, diverse\, innovative\, sustainable\, social\, affordable\, and exciting—ranging from single-family homes to large buildings with over 1\,000 apartments. Instead of a collective monoculture\, the office strives to mix people and create buildings for diverse inhabitants\, representing their city’s vertical demographics.
