Lecture: Francois Roche and Camille Lacadee


Francois Roche and Camille Lacadee architectural works seek to articulate the real and/or fictional through their structures of research at New Territories. Their architectural designs and processes have been presented at, among other places, ICA, Mori Art Museum, Centre Pompidou, MAM, Tate Modern, ArchiLab, and the Venice Architecture Biennale’s including: The French pavilion in 1990, 1996, 2000, The International Section in 2000-04-08-10, The Slovenian Pavilion in 2012, and the Bembo Pavillion in 2014. 

F. Roche was a guest professor among others at GSAPP-Columbia, Bartlett London, TU Vienna, ESARQ Barcelona, UPENN Philadelphia, Angewangde Vienna, Taubman College, currently at RMIT Melbourne. Though new-territories, he will present their works-scenario-movies and contingencies at the first Biennale of Chicago and as Key Lecturer for next Acadia Cincinnati, October 2015. F. Roche was the guest editor of NYC LOG#25 “reclaim resis(lience)stance”. Their last book “Heretical Machinism and Living Architecture of New Territories.com” was published in 2014, the next book “mythomaniaS” is scheduled to be published this year.

This lecture immediately precedes the Student Research Grant presentations and exhibit opening, also being held in the Art and Architecture Auditorium at 6pm.
