MUD Reviews

Please drop by the Master of Urban Design exhibition and review of its concepts for “Renegotiating Modernist Urbanism” along Manhattan’s Lower-East-Side waterfront.

The site consists of 1.5 miles of post-World-War-II public housing projects built on Modernist super-block, tower-in-the-park architectural models. Our studio preserves this housing while exploring opportunities for new development and public spaces on the super blocks, tying the blocks into Manhattan’s urbanism while creating parks, services and transportation facilities along the waterfront.

Our day is divided into two parts: an informal exhibition and discussion of the work between 10am and 11:30am and formal power point presentations and reviews between 12:30pm and 5:00pm.
