Planners Network Kickoff Meeting

September 20, 2011 at 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Calling all Progressive Planners!

Did you get into planning because you wanted to build better communities, promote social justice, and make a difference in the world from the local on upwards? Then join your fellow place makers at Taubman for the first meeting of our Planners Network Chapter this semester

What is Planners Network?

Glad you asked:
Planners Network is an association of professionals, activists, academics, and students involved in physical, social, economic, and environmental planning who promote fundamental change in our political and economic systems. We believe that planning should be a tool for allocating resources and developing the environment to eliminate the great inequalities of wealth and power in our society, rather than to maintain and justify the status quo.

At Taubman, we’re some of your awesome classmates. We’re learning about inspirational happenings in our local area and around the world. We’re connecting with others outside of the program who share our commitment. And we’re working with each other to become better stewards of the public interest.
