DESCRIPTION:At this event\, open to all students\, Professor Andrew Herscher will be launching his new book: “Under the Campus\, the Land: Anishinaabe Futuring\, Colonial Non-Memory\, and the Origin of the University of Michigan”. The book retells the origin story of U-M from the perspectives of the Anishinaabe people who inspired the university’s founding and the colonists who used the university to further Native unsettlement and colonial settlement on land that eventually became Michigan.
