Urban Planning Job Talk – Amir Hajrasouliha

Amir Hajrasouliha is a PhD candidate in the Urban Planning and Design program at the University of Utah.  Mr. Hajrasouliha has an undergraduate degree in Architectural Engineering in 2004 from Shahid Beheshti University in Iran.  From 2004 to 2010, he worked for several Iranian architectural firms.  In 2010, Mr. Hajrasouliha came to the University of Michigan where he completed the Master of Urban Design program in 2011.  During his time here, he was a member of the 1st place ULI Hines design team.  His current research focuses on campus planning and urban morphology (three dimensional urban form).  He has published a paper entitled, The Impact of Street Network Connectivity on Pedestrian Volume, in Urban Studies.  He has two papers currently in the revision process for the Journal of Planning Education and the Journal of Regional Studies.  He has taught 4 classes at the University of Utah.  These include graduate classes in Physical Plan Analysis and Urban Design Visualization.
