Freshman Orientation for Fall Term (Final Offering)

The purpose of orientation is to provide students with a smooth and helpful transition to college life. The University of Michigan expects undergraduate students who are admitted for the Fall Term attend one of the many Summer Orientation Programs offered from June to late July.

While at Summer Orientation, freshmen complete all necessary steps to register for Fall Term classes, including placement testing, group and individual academic advising, and course registration. Students leave orientation with a complete Fall Term schedule of classes, including sections and times. If you were unable to attend one of these sessions over the summer, then you must attend this final Orientation on August 27, 2013.
