Raju Mann (M.U.P.'06) is an expert in New York City planning, policy, and land use and currently serves as Director of Land Use for the New York City Council. An advocate for affordable housing, Mann promotes smarter developments that create livable communities. Previously, Mann worked for the Municipal Art Society of New York where he fought Mayor Bloomberg’s plans to rezone Midtown East. Additionally, he has served as City Planner for the New York City Department of City Planning and on the Transportation and Land Use Committee for Community Board Five. Mann received his Master's degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.
