Mindfulness for Autism: Embracing the Unique Character and Mental Make-up of Children with Autism (Workshop, Part I)

Workshop Part I - Mindfulness for Autism: Playtime with our Kiddos

This workshop will combine a mini-symposium of presentations on mindfulness in education for children with autism, and hands-on interaction between the U-M students, elementary age "peer-mentor" students and the children participating in our course, with support and guidance from expert teachers and therapists. With the concepts and experiences learned in this workshop, parents, students, therapists and teachers will capture video documentation which embraces the unique identity and strengths of each child.

For more information, please contact Assistant Professor Sean Ahlquist at ahlquist@umich.edu.

This workshop is made possible with funding from the Transforming Learning for the Third Century grant program
