THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED
The POST-CARBON Series brings together voices from critical practices and educators in landscape, urbanism, architecture, and policy to discuss proposals for collective action, methodologies of research, and new vectors of discourse around the Green New Deal (GND) and other modes of combating climate change. The second event of the series brings Chris Reed, Founding Director of STOSS Landscape Urbanism studio based in Boston.
The format of the event will begin with a provocation from our guest followed by a critical Q&A session, discussion, and workshop. Issues at stake may include the relationship between policy and pedagogy, new modes of collaboration and collective action, speculative landscape futures, embedded labor in the maintenance and stewardship of at-risk ecologies, and new agendas in landscape architecture, among others.
The POST-CARBON series is a collaboration between The Architecture Lobby and the Green New Deal New York Studio with Associate Professor El Hadi Jazairy, with additional support from the Matters of Urban Design Student Association (MUDSA).
