Chaffers Research Workshop: John McMorrough

Chaffers Research Workshops, hosted by the Architecture Ph.D. program, aim to get to know each other's work and to foster intellectual discussion of commonalities and differences among architecture scholars. The series of monthly events focus on Ph.D. work, but anyone who wishes to join the conversation with Ph.D. faculty and students is welcome.

For October's Research Workshop, participants will read and respond to the following text pondering the direction of the discipline and profession: John McMorrough, “Successive Failures, Architecture ‘Hopes in Design'” (2022) written for OASE #114 “Optimism or Bust.” Email jknoblau@umich.edu for a copy of the text.
