Lecture Series Speaker: Christina Crawford

Christina Crawford is Associate Professor of Modern and Contemporary Architecture in the Art History Department at Emory University. Christina is a historian of architecture and urban form and a trained architect and urban designer whose research specialties are socialist space and social housing. She will be speaking on material from her recent book – “Spatial Revolution: Architecture and Planning in the Early Soviet Union”. Topics will include Magnitogorsk and designs that emerged from urbanist and disurbanist theory. Pizza will be served at the top of the event.
