Anya Dale

Anya Dale is a Sustainability Program Manager in the U-M Office of Campus Sustainability (OCS), and acts as lecturer for the Taubman College “Environmental Planning: Issues and Concepts” course.

In her current role with OCS, Anya leads initiatives and evaluates opportunities for sustainable programs in order to further the University’s Sustainability Goals for reductions in waste, pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.  She also is active in many educational and outreach programs to engage staff, students and faculty in sustainability, including supporting and sponsoring student projects.

As a practicing planner, Anya worked for the first half of her career as Senior Planner then Project Manager for Washtenaw County, where she was involved in many facets of planning, including natural features protection, corridor redevelopment, sustainable transportation and supporting land use practices.

Anya received her B.S. in Environmental Biology from MSU and Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from Eastern Michigan University.  She has served on the City of Ann Arbor Environmental Commission, Ann Arbor Area Transit Authority (AAATA) Board, and a growing number of environmentally relevant committees.
