Jonathan Schwartz is a lecturer at the University of Michigan’s Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. He teaches introductory front-end web development, with an emphasis on data visualization, to students pursuing the Bachelor of Science in Urban Technology degree.

Professionally, Jonathan began his engineering career as an early employee at StockX, where he contributed for the better part of the last 7.5-years. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Discovery, Research, and Catalog (“DRC”) Team, Jonathan led the development of the homepage, product detail, and search pages. These areas of the site see the majority of daily web traffic and require particular focus on app performance, core web vitals, SEO, and product discoverability. Jonathan also conducted numerous A/B tests of new features, leveraging customer insights and business metrics to improve the overall StockX customer experience.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Michigan and completed the Venture for America fellowship in Detroit, where he currently resides.
