Strickland Named to the Preservation Committee of the Municipal Arts Society of New York

Roy Strickland, Professor of Architecture, has been named to the Preservation Committee of the Municipal Arts Society of New York (MAS). MAS is the 120-year old non-profit membership organization “committed to promoting New York City’s economic vitality, cultural vibrancy, environmental sustainability and social diversity.” Strickland joins the Preservation Committee at a time when it seeks to expand its role in resilient-city planning in the face of climate change, subject of his recent article in The Atlantic Cities based on his urban-design studio work at Taubman College, theatlanticcities.com/design/2012/12/bold-plan-post-sandy-manhattan/4244/.
